Thoughtfully heard my issue and spent the time to find that I didn’t need to replace an expensive part. I’ll be back and I trust these folks.

I am quite pleased with the recent work done on my vehicle at Downtown Automotive. Their service was honest, thorough, and reasonably priced.

Got some new tires put on. Someone came and picked up my car and left me a loaner in case I needed to leave. Brought my car back faster than I expected. They did a great job.

As someone who doesn’t know a whole lot about fixing vehicles, I trust them to know what is needed and not needed. They have taken good care of both of my beloved VW’s.

I had an overall good experience with these guys, they inspect everything when they look at your car which was extremely helpful and reassuring in my case. As a woman, going into a mechanic is always scary and dreadful, but they made me feel comfortable and actually listened. They found a lot of things wrong with my car that I didn't even realize were going on, and they gave great details and information on what they found and what the next steps were. In the end, I decided it wasn't worth it to pay the $4,000+ repair costs, and decided to have them junk it. They ended up putting the money in to fix it and sell it to someone who needs it, and I moved on to a new more reliable car. It was a little weird seeing my old car up for sale given the circumstances, but I was able to talk to them and get clarification and I can honestly say that they learned from this case and will be more even more transparent with similar cases in the future. Overall a good learning experience for both parties, and I would definitely recommend bringing your car here versus other shops because they check everything and find things that other shops in the area miss! Even though I can only review their customer service since I didn't end up having anything fixed, I think it's worth a shot trying their shop out. Just don't be scared to ask questions and get clarification, especially if you're a woman or someone who knows nothing about cars!

Seems like they did a good job.Haven’t driven much since then.A pretty decent turnaround time. I hope it’ll be awhile before I see them again.Nothing against them.Kinda like going to the dentist.Its gonna hurt but ya gotta do it.

I was going out of town and my car heat gauge was heating up.. I called the shop and Luis told me to come on into the shop. I was able to drop my car off, Luis and the other staff was so amazing and kind. They were able to fix my car in a timely manner and not charge me an arm and leg… the front office staff and the mechanics were so personal and explained the issues to where I could understand Thank you Downtown Automotive for taking care of me and my car

My husband and I were in Eugene visiting our daughter on vacation and we were leaving a restaurant and our vehicle would not go in reverse. We made many calls to different places trying to get our vehicle in trying to find out how much it would cost. We looked in to two other local mechanics who said we needed a new transmission. We were quoted $4,000 at one place, $3,600 at another place. Then we called Downtown Automotive Center and drove our vehicle (as it would still drive, but would t go into reverse) and we spoke with Luis the service technician who you could tell knew what he was talking about. He said we didn’t need a new transmission, just a part that makes the car go into reverse and second gear. The owner, Brian spoke with us and he quoted us $1400 for the parts and work to be done. They got our vehicle in and we had it back within 48 hours, which the other places said would take 4 to 6 days to complete. Honest, great people here. Easily could have taken advantage of out of town people, but instead they fixed just what the problem was. More business need to have service like this. Anyone in Eugene, I highly recommend these folks. Now we are back on the road safely. Thanks again Brian and Luis!
