4 photos I have a 2017 Volkswagen Passat. My warranty ended at the end of last year. I was going to the dealership for all of my service needs, but had heard some good things about this place and wanted to try it out. My Dad is a mechanic who works out of his home garage so I like to support local business whenever possible. I am happy I made the call for my 30,000 mile service and oil change. Brian was very professional and Brandon in the front office was knowledgeable and courteous too. I was provided a loaner vehicle for the day while they worked on my car and was sent a detailed Inspection notice through text with a link I could access, so there wouldn't be any surprises when I went to pick up my car. There were even multiple photos of my car in the inspection which was nice. The price was comparable to the dealership (maybe even a little cheaper) and the personal attention I received was better than any dealership I have ever dealt with. I will continue to bring my business to Downtown Automotive. You should check them out, and support local!

I called Downtown Automotive because my car was not starting. Brian made arrangements for a tow truck and got my vehicle in the shop the same day. He called and gave me a status update with a price quote that I thought was fair. I had them replace my starter and during their inspection they noted my brake pads were worn out, which I also had them replace. When I picked up my car it was washed and vacuumed. I'm thankful to call them my new mechanic. I won't go anywhere else.

These guys know their stuff and service was excellent! They even pointed me and my son out to good places to eat while getting my downpipe installed on my mk7.5 GTi. Install took a lot quicker than I figured as well! It's always comforting to know that the guys working on your car are enthusiasts themselves and own the same cars. Will definitely be back to have more go fast parts installed thru them!

I had an excellent experience with the service at Downtown Automotive Center. I took my mk7 GTI in for an issue with the clutch not releasing. The technicians there diagnosed the issue and recommended the necessary repairs. I discussed with them and decided to go with an upgraded South Bend clutch, APR stage 2 tune with exhaust down pipe and replace the clutch bleeder block. They also changed the gear oil in the manual transmission. They quoted a price and completed the work with no additional markups. They also stayed in contact with updates as parts arrived and work was performed. They showed me the failed parts and explained what had happened. They also returned the car washed and vacuumed. The new setup works great, the car is much faster and the new clutch and bleeder block are much nicer than the stock setup. I would definitely recommend Downtown Automotive Center.
